AUDITIONS Students audition in December , and begin meeting after school starting Tuesday the 15th. The class officially begins in the second semester and meets 7th period through the end of the year.
AWARDS Jazz One has been a successful competitive band for many years. Recent awards are as follows:

Jazz One
A new class at SCHS, commercial band aims to teach students the basics of reading lead sheets and pop music performance.

Jazz
Band is the only ensemble that is chosen by audition.
The jazz ensembles play various styles of jazz including
swing, bop, Latin jazz, funk, and more. Jazz band
students perform at boys basketball games, festivals,
music department and community concerts. In addition
to these performances, San Clemente hosts an annual jazz
festival in the spring.
